OK, I'm really going to have to change my name to Am Tardy if I keep this up, but sometimes life just gets in the way of designing. And I didn't want to just put what I had already done aside and wait till next year to finish it. And yes, I also have a sampler "Xtras" freebie for you.

As usual I just couldn't stop making stuff, so this is a really huge kit. It does color co-ordinate with the Jolly Holiday kit and Jolly Holiday Sprinkles Add-On. You get:

You get 10 papers and 10 elements in the Xtras freebie. All of the papers have pawprints on them, but most of the elements do not, like the angels and the buttons and one of the bows.

Brag Book Exchange and a fix for an Ooopps!

Divine Digital does a bi-monthly Brag Book Exchange Challenge over in the Forums. How it works is that you create at least one brag book size quick page using the most recently completed Download-A-Day kits. You send the pages (or a link) to Challenge Hostess Wendi, who compiles them all into one download and at the end sends the link to all who have participated. So the Brag Book quick pages wind up exclusive to those who particpate. To entice more participation, I have created and contributed 4 pages.

This freebie is made with a paper from my Paws 4 Me kit along with the Must Love Cats & Dogs Chippies and one of the new Paws 4 Me alphas.

The alphas are named for rescue dogs from Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel Rescue. I did a series of layouts for a display board for this group (I'm also a foster). Three of the layouts I did using my Paws 4 Me kit. I used the same font for the title to tie all of the layouts together. That inspired me to create alphas. Here are the inspiration layouts:

Computer still broke! :((

My PC is still in the shop. They are now replacing the motherboard. This loaner PC is not very powerful. I did install Photoshop CS4 on it so I could do some work, but it is really slow at refreshing the screen. Sometimes it doesn't refresh the screen at all unless I move the window around. Anyway, the two parts of SpringSational that I got loaded into the store the night before the crash are still priced at just $1 each.

Stars @ Nite Alphas are Big & Brite

I finally got the alphas finished and in the store. Sorry it took me so long, but I did get just a little bit burned out and needed a designing break. And then like the insurance commercial says, sometimes "life comes at you fast!" It is raining cockers at the area shelters. Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel Rescue is just really overwhelmed and in bad need of fosters, so Charlie is now living with me and the rest of the Chantrels while she undergoes heartworm treatment. And yes, she is female and her name is Charlie. Apparently somebody at the Pearland Shelter needs an anatomy lesson - they named her Charlie and put her in their system as a male!! It wasn't until Marie sprung her that she realized that he was a she. So here are some pictures of Charlie enhanced with items from Stars @ Nite as well as some photo masks by Youandi and SAS Designs.

It is released in the form of a mini-kit each day in the forum. The link is only up for approximately 24 hours, so you have to go get it each day. There are two full collaboration kits each month. I hope everybody is having a Merry Christmas, or at least a nice Saturday. Santa stopped by and instructed me to post these freebies for you...

This is 16 papers that color co-ordinate with my various Paws 4 Christmas kits available at Divine Digital here. Only 7 of the papers actually have pawprints. The others just color co-ordinate (or sorta do, not exactly sure where that neon pink came from!), so they can be used for non-pet layouts. Seven of the papers were offered as a freebie last year, but the others are new.

And speaking of last year, I am re-listing the freebie A Winter's Kiss in case any of you missed it.

There are 5 papers, 4 frames and 5 snowflakes. You can also consider these freebies to be a sneak peek of what is to come. I am so tired! I have been working hard on getting a new kit done. It is part of this week's Project Color at Divine Digital:

Everybody who participates uses the same color scheme so that all of the kits will go together as a big mega-kit. And this is my part, "Paws 4 Me"

Paws 4 Me is a different kind of pet kit. It is like a regular kit, just with paws on items. However, there are also co-ordinating papers and embellishments without paws so that you don't overload on paws. Paws 4 Me is for scrapping your pets with a more sophisticated look.

The kit is approximately 275 MB and contains:

18 papers (5 grungy solids and 13 patterned - 9 of those with paws)
12 flat ribbons and 3 curled ribbons with bows and 13 ricraks
17 frames (5 single frame, 3 doubles and 9 triples)

I am now selling my products exclusively at Divine Digital! There was a big delay because the site crashed back in May thanks to some hackers. Getting the site back up even required a change in host server companies. (Long story!) But the site is back up and the designers are loading up their stores and I am loading up my new store. There are new kits and new freebies in my store, so please go take a look! However, with the change in host server companies some software customization is in the process of being rewritten. So right now there are two restrictions: (1) free ($0) orders are not automatically processed. Royanna has to manually approve them. She tries to do this twice a day, but life happens so please be patient. and (2) there is only one download per product. Since my kits are usually big, this means some huge zip files that are going to be problems for anyone on dial-up. (I haven't loaded my two biggest kits in the store because of this.) Royanna says there are alternatives, so I can ask her if need be. These restrictions are temporary, but we don't know for sure for how long.

Flowers For You

I have been very busy slaving away over a hot computer. But, still not ready for the "Big Announcement" though. I don't want y'all to think I have forgotten you. So I went through my hard drive and put together a little freebie for you. It is title "Misc Flowers" because it is all flower stuff that doesn't necessarily go together. Sometimes I was just playing around making stuff with commercial use overlays and actions that I had just bought and wanted to see what they would do. Other times I was working on a particular kit, and the result was good, but not what I wanted for that kit. Maybe I have hording tendencies because I didn't want to just delete them. So I bundled a bunch of them together for you as a freebie.

There are eight 12" x 12" 300 ppi high resolution papers. There are two branches with flowers (kinda looks like one in the preview, but it's two) and 11 flowers of various colors and types. Hopefully something will be just perfect for a layout you are working on. Personal use, but scrapping for others for gifts and/or digital photo swaps is permitted. Please read the enclosed TOU file.

I've had a bit of a break and gotten some time to scrap. I have a new kit almost finished. I've also been taking lots of pictures of butterflies on the mimosa tree in my backyard. So here is a special preview - a layout of some of the butterfly pics done with some of the items from the new kit:

As usual I am having trouble deciding what to name this kit. I was thinking of "Coraline" or "Coraturq" since it is shades of coral and turquoise. I am very open to suggestions. Here are previews of the papers:

Becky's Brick House Alpha and Papers

Becky is a wicked witch. She says so herself. (Seriously, her username over at A Cherry On Top is imwickedwitch.) So when the wicked witch says she needs a red brick alpha and paper, I jump and make her one. I don't want to be turned into a frog! And since I have to load it up to 4shared to get it to her, y'all can download it, too.

There are 5 12" x 12" 300 ppi resolution jpg format papers. 3 have brick designs and 2 are just grungy. The alpha is all upper and lower case, numbers and symbols that are on the keyboard. However, it is a small alpha at only a little bit over an inch high. Everything is in one file, so you will have to cut & paste the letters to get them out, but there is plenty of space between them. (I was too busy jumping to get this done quicky and not become a frog to get them all in separate files.) Dropshadows are just on the preview.

This is a layout of my DD's soccer awards banquet where she was awarded first team all region goalie and second team all state goalie. The best award in her eyes came from her teammates who gave her the coveted "BRICK WALL" award for best defender. I could NOT have created this layout without the help of ANN, of AnnOminous designs who specially created the alpha and brick wall paper for this layout and Lilkoala (leslie) for the inspiration for the title. Scrapbooking is truly a collaborative artform!!!

On the personal side, I want to thank everyone for the words of support. I have some good news and a lot of bad news. The good news is that I hope to be selling in another store in a couple of months, by summer's end and hopefully sooner. The first bad news is that I did not get into the Alternative Teacher Certification program. It was my fault. I got completely mixed up about the test dates and how long it took to get the results. I am just so stressed because my mother's condition just keeps getting worse. She is very physically weak, unable to do almost anything for herself, even roll over in the bed. She is also very mentally gone, very delusional. And they don't seem to be happy delusions the majority of the time, but stressful delusions where she is running around trying to get something done. She will be moving her arms around very slowly, and also moving her legs like she is marching. Maybe she is reliving her Navy days. It is getting harder and harder to understand her. At first the words just did not form a sentence that made sense. Now some of the words are slurred and not clear. Physically her lower jaw is shifting and her lower teeth are in front of her upper teeth, especially on the left side. I don't understand why this is happening. I'm just trying to hang in there!

However, she was really retaining fluids and bloated. Her face looked like somebody had come in with collagen and botox - hardly any wrinkles. No wrinkles ordinarily is good lol.

Wanna be Wild & Cheap 4 Valentine's Day?

I went back into my stash and found a few more extras and 2 quickpages from my Wild @ Heart kit.

It's a really huge kit with over 500mb of stuff! And it will be on sale starting Friday for Valentine's Day. In fact, my whole store will be on sale this weekend!

And if you have already bought everything I have made, well, I did get a new kit done for Valentine's Day. It has lots of bling!!!

You get 9 gorgeous glittery and gold filigree frames.

There are 7 glittery foiled and gold blinged to the max papers, along with 7 grungy solid/patterned not blinged papers just in case you think bling frames on bling papers is overdoing it.

Likewise 15 ribbons, 8 of them with blingy hearts and 7 of them plain along with 7 fashionably folded versions of blingy ribbons.

When it comes to bows, there are 19 total - 10 of them are blinged.

Also included are 8 blingy buttons and 7 blingy tags.

There are two blinged wordarts in different color combinations for a total of 5 wordarts.

Everything is done in high resolution 300 ppi. Papers are in 12" x 12" jpg format, except for one paper in png format that has a gold filagree edge.

CHD Awareness Blog Train

Choo Choo!! Here I am as the caboose for the Blog Train!! I am finally back online.

CHD (Congenital Heart Defects) Awareness Week is Febuary 7th through 14th. Apparently CHD is one of the most common birth defects and as many as 1 in 100 babies are born with it. Though many treatments are available, unfortunately it usually means lots of doctor and hospital visits for the little ones. For that reason my contribution to the blog train has a very medical theme.

There are a few more elements than shown, mainly some more color variations on the pills and shots. The papers are more generic, including some grungy solids that can be used for any type of layout.

I just got feedback from somebody that their AVG virus alerted on the elements file. It was scanned clean by 4shared's Kasperky anti-virus when I uploaded it, but just in case some hackers have messed with it since then, I have uploaded it again and you can get it here I am not deleting the old link just yet as AVG lost credibility with me a few years back when they flagged an important Windows file as a virus and screwed a bunch of people up by deleting it. I would appreciate feedback from people with other anti-virus software as to whether or not their programs alerted. Also, 4shared seems to have a lot of traffic right now. If you get a server limit message, just come back and try later. I have no plans to delete any of the links anytime soon - except of course if they are virus infected, then I will replace. But do remember to come back, please!!!

It's the first of the month again - ok, it is the 5th and I'm late. My modem died Wednesday night of last week. Rather than pay $80 for a new one, I decided to upgrade to AT&T's U-Verse and get faster service with a new free modem. They were suppose to install it on Wednesday, but the installer said that the line into my house was too old to support U-Verse and I had to have a new one put in first. I'm hoping it will all get done by next Wednesday, the 10th. I'm over at a friend's house using his internet (give a big shout out and thank you to Clive!) in order to bring you this freebie.

These are more extras from my new kit "Paws 4 Christmas" which is more stuff for scrapping your cats and dogs, but in more traditional colors than "Sweet Christmas." I know, you are saying "uh, waitaminute Ann, that preview is blue, that's not really a traditional Christmas color." You are right. I started out with a really big color pallate and then wound up only using the traditional colors. But, that was after I had already made up papers and a few other items with the other colors (scroll through the old posts to get the freebie with the pink & brown stuff). So rather than putting them in the recycle bin, I am giving them to you. But actually, the Santa's list type tags I made up a couple of days ago. After the kit was released, it seemed to me that it needed Santa's list, so I made these up and put them in with this freebie. Slaving away over a hot computer!

I have been sitting here in front of the computer starting with the weekend getting stuff made for the big Christmas giveaways. And I do not have good posture. My back hurts, my neck and shoulders, my knee (ok, that doesn't have anything to do with sitting) but most of all my butt hurts!! I'm even having fantasies about a butt massage that are not sexual!! I have a memory foam computer chair, but I'm thinking it has gotten compacted and all the good is gone from it. And why have I been doing all this, you ask? Well, this is why:

New Kit - Grab Bag Revealed

NDSD has come and gone, so my grab bag has been removed from the store. It is now revealed and in the store as a kit. Here are the contents:

Eclectic Mix 1 is an eclectic mix of papers and elements in teal and turquoise shades of blue and brown with some orange. There are items for scrapping pets and plenty for everything else. You get:

2 rickracks and 2 ribbon wraps,

4 cocker spaniel flairs,

9 bows,

8 flowers,

29 glitter chipboard animals and animal themed embellishments which include 4 cats, 2 rabbits, 5 horses, 1 butterfly and 13 dogs (Cocker Spaniels, Alaskan Malamute, German Shepard, Scottish Terrier, Chihuahua, Boxer, Bulldog, Great Dane. Daschund, Collie/Shetland Sheepdog and Lab type),

Plus an alpha with uppercase letters, numbers and many punctuation symbols.

As usual, any items with an added dog motif are also included in a plain version, so there is plenty of stuff for those who don't have furbabies. With almost 140 MB in 4 downloads (plus another download for the alpha), there is something for everyone.

All items are in high resolution 300 ppi. Papers are in jpg format, 12" x 12". Personal use, but scrapping for others for gifts and digi photo swaps is permitted. Drop shadows are just for preview purposes.

An Oooppss & more freebies

I have been going through my hard disk looking at files and I discovered two things. First I discovered two papers that I should of included with the Starry Slumber Bonus Freebies. Second I discovered that I just might have left one of the frames for the kit out of the downloads (and it's one of the frames in the kit preview, too - major faux paux!). I decided that the best way to handle this was to go ahead and redo the freebie and give you both the papers and the possibly missing frame. So here is the new updated freebie preview:

Now I bet you are now saying, "ummm Ann, that looks like 2 new beds in the preview, not a different frame!" Well I didn't put the possibly missing frame in the preview, but it is in the downloads. I say "downloads" because I have two downloading options for you. The first one is for every single bonus item plus the missing frame. The second option is for those who have downloaded the freebie already. It is just the new items (papers and beds) plus the missing frame.

Oh yea, about the beds... A kit with "Slumber" in the title really needs to have a bed. After all, it already has two couches for pictures of sleeping couch potatoes. So I made beds (on the computer that is - not the bed I sleep in). Like the other patterned items in the kit, the bed comes in four versions (1) crescent moons & stars, (2) dogbones & pawprints (3) cats and (4) cocker spaniels with each version in both pink and purple. So you get 8 beds though only two are shown in the preview.
