And before I give you the link for the freebie, I am going to make a
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

I am going to be taking a hiatus from designing.  There is a lot going on in my personal life right now.  My mother has Alzheimer's, which is getting bad.  She is in hospice care now.  Also, I am trying to get into an Alternative Teacher Certification Program and become a high school math teacher.  I have to go take the THEA test, which means I need to do some test prep work.  There just isn't much time for designing, plus I am often too stressed to be creative.  This means that my store at Bits2Kits.com will be closing on April 30th.  And it also means that until then everything is on sale!!!  40% to 50% off on all items!!  So please, check out the sales here before everything is gone at the end of the month!!

(And please say a prayer/think positive thoughts for my mother and for me to get into the teacher's program!)

*****  Update 8/1/2011  *****  Sorry, freebie is no longer available  ******

  1. Ann, I am very sorry that we are going to lose you, but you must do what you must do. I am also sorry to hear of the heartache that you are going through with your mother. I hope that she will reach a plateau and that you will reach your goal as a high school math teacher. I will pray for both you and your mother and I will miss seeing you on the board. Good luck in your new venture.

    Hugs,
    Bernie

  5. i'm really sorry for you and your mother because i've been through this some time ago and I know how time and energy consuming it is to take care of someone with Alzheimer. And how your mind can be affected as well when you see the persons you love losing their memory, the worse being at the beginning when are aware of what is happening to them.

I wish you a lot of courage and hope you will have a lot of support both from your family/friends and the medical staff (I had none and got a nervous breakdown...)

  13. I will miss your creativity, your blog, and your generosity while you are on hiatus. It's understandable that life has its ups and downs and we don't get to choose when they happen.
